The reusable, washable, silicon alternative to nuguigami, or tissues.
Some collectors prefer to use silicon cloths than applications of uchiko. Some other collectors who prefer to use uchiko, use one silicon cloth to remove the excess oil, then another silicon cloth to remove the uchiko applications. Used in this way it is best to have color coded colths, I.E. White for oil, and black for uchiko.
The cloths are ultra soft so as to reduce chances of hike, and scratches. White cloths make excellent fukusa for sword viewing. Some viewers who see smudges in a blade tend to wipe them with the fukusa. Depending on the material of the fukusa, this can potentially cause scratches. By using The Japanese Sword-sword cloths as a fukusa remove this potential hazard.
